Outbound Logistics Coordinator

Position: Outbound Logistics Coordinator        

Reports To: Andrew Campbell

Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule: 8AM-5PM Monday- Friday. Seasonal hours will vary during peak months of March-July

Salary Range: $40,000-$55,000- based on experience.

Role Summary: The Outbound Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring outbound freight from our warehouse goes out in a timely, accurate and secure manner. This position requires a highly motivated individual who is willing to learn our systems and proactively find ways to make them better. Keen attention to detail is a must as you will be overseeing LTL orders being shipped from our Charlotte facility directly to customers and to our vendor warehouses across the United States. Communication will be key as you will correspond with carriers daily. You must be willing to work in a warehouse environment that does not have climate control. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Schedule carriers to pick up orders

Ensure accuracy of orders that have been pulled by the order pickers.

Use the wrap machine to secure each pallet tightly to prevent damage to the product during transit.

Enter Dimensions of each pallet into our system.

Taking pictures of each palletized order before wrapping (to record what boxes were sent) and after wrapping (to show that the order left our facility secured)

Print LTL logistics paperwork (BOLs, Pallet Labels, Box Labels, etc.)

Load palletized orders onto the trucks of selected carriers.

Upload tracking numbers into our system for each pick up.

Keeping the dock area clean and keeping pace making sure carriers are being loaded and sent off in a timely manner to make room for other carriers to use the dock(s).

Correspond with carriers regarding scheduling pick-ups and making sure they are arriving with enough space on their trucks to accommodate for space that will be consumed by the orders we have that day.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to perform manual labor for up to 8 hours a day and carry loads of up to 50 pounds.

Team player with great collaborative and communication skills

Ability to maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment.

Can work independently and safely.

 Must be ability to learn how to operate a forklift.

Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred, Non-Essential Qualifications:

Prior warehouse experience
