Accounting Assistant
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful, and dependable Accounting Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of Nych Brands. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of transactions, and supporting the overall health of the company’s accounting function. This position is ideal for someone who takes ownership of their work, follows through to completion, and is motivated to figure things out.

Experience:
Required:
1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic understanding of accounting principles (AP, AR, reconciliations)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and make forward progress without constant direction
Preferred:
Experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred)
Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
What You’ll Do
Oversee Accounts Payable including keeping track of container payments across multiple internal companies
Process expense transactions
Execute weekly payment runs (ACH, checks, wires)
Perform bank account reconciliations
Assist with month-end closing processes
Assist in preparing financial reports
File monthly and quarterly sales tax for multiple states

Salary: Dependent on experience (Full Time, Exempt)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
